Roma Norte
Roma Norte centers on Avenida Álvaro Obregón, its median lined with jacarandas, sidewalk cafés and small galleries. Calle Colima and Calle Orizaba hold much of the neighborhood's coffee shops and taquerías, Mercado Roma gathers local food vendors under one roof, and the fountain at Plaza Río de Janeiro and the benches of Plaza Luis Cabrera anchor the quieter blocks around Calle Córdoba and Calle Zacatecas.

Condesa is built around two art deco parks, Parque México and Parque España, on a 1920s street plan that curves Avenida Ámsterdam into a long oval where a racetrack once ran. Avenida Tamaulipas and Avenida Nuevo León carry most of the restaurants and bars, set in converted houses with sidewalk tables, and Lardo bakes its sourdough in view of the street.

Polanco runs along Avenida Presidente Masaryk, where boutiques and embassies line wide sidewalks under mature trees. Enrique Olvera's Pujol and Jorge Vallejo's Quintonil sit a few blocks apart on quiet residential streets.
